Resources for the Journey

Fields of Zion International and First Light Ministries exist to help the remnant walk with God through seasons of shaking with
hope, covenant, and practical wisdom. This page gathers tools, books, maps, and references that can help you:

  • Go deeper in the Scriptures
  • Understand geography and “regions of refuge”
  • Grow in simple living, homesteading, and community life
  • Prepare spiritually and practically without fear

We recommend prayerfully curating these resources with the Holy Spirit. Not every tool is for everyone, and inclusion here
does not mean full agreement with every position or teaching.

1. Scripture & Study Tools

FOZI and First Light Ministries are rooted in the Word. These tools help you study Scripture deeply, especially on themes
like remnant, refuge, covenant, and “coming out of Babylon.”

  • Blue Letter Bible

    – Original language tools, lexicons, cross-references, and commentaries. Very helpful for word studies
    (e.g., “refuge,” “remnant,” “Zion,” “wilderness”).

  • Bible Hub

    – Parallel translations, commentaries, interlinear, and topic studies.

  • Bible Gateway

    – Easy access to multiple translations (including NKJV and NASB) with simple search features.

  • OpenBible.info Bible Geocoding

    – Interactive maps of biblical places; helpful when thinking about geographic patterns and corridors.
  • A good print Bible atlas (for example, any solid evangelical atlas) – useful alongside FOZI’s
teaching on regions, corridors, and historic movement of God’s people.

Note: Unless otherwise noted, most Scripture references on this site use NKJV or
NASB. We encourage comparing translations and letting Scripture interpret Scripture.

2. Geography, Maps & “Regions of Refuge”

Because FOZI deals with where God is positioning people, maps and geography tools are extremely helpful.
Use these as starting points, not as prophecy in themselves.

  • OpenBible.info Bible Maps

    – See biblical locations in modern geography; useful when studying patterns of refuge and migration.

  • USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Maps

    – Essential when thinking about long-term food production, perennial crops, and resilient agricultural zones.

  • USGS Topographic & Geological Maps

    – Terrain, elevation, rivers, and ridgelines that help visualize “corridors of movement” and high-ground refuges.
  • A simple physical road atlas and regional topo maps – do not rely only on digital tools; printed maps
matter in crisis and for prayerful, tactile planning.

For FOZI’s own overview on how God uses geography in times of shaking, see:

3. Simple Living, Homesteading & Community Life

FOZI is not just about escaping trouble; it’s about learning to live again as garden people in
covenant with God and one another. These resources can help you grow in practical skills.

  • Farm Life & Simple Living (First Light Ministries)

    – A glimpse into our own journey of goats, fields, and learning to live simply before the Lord.

  • First Light Ministries – Articles & Blog

    – Stories, reflections, and field notes from the early stages of the Fields of Zion journey.
  • Classic Christian homesteading / agrarian books (add your favorites here as the list matures).
  • Basic references on soil building, gardening, animal husbandry, and small-farm management (local extension or trusted
    agrarian voices).

As FOZI grows, this section will expand with Kingdom-oriented resources specifically curated for
remnant households and communities.

4. Prophetic, End-Times & Remnant Study

These resources are for believers who want to go deeper into themes like the remnant, Babylon, Zion, and the
“marriage of Genesis and Revelation.” Please exercise discernment and test everything against Scripture.

  • Your Bible, read deeply with the Holy Spirit, is the primary resource. We especially recommend:
Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, the Minor Prophets, the Gospels, Romans 8–11, 1–2 Thessalonians, Hebrews, and
    Revelation.
  • Solid, Scripture-saturated teaching on:
    • The remnant and overcomers
    • The fall of Babylon
    • Zion as a people and a place
    • God’s use of wilderness and refuge

(You can add specific authors and series here as the Lord highlights trustworthy voices.)

  • What Is Zion?

    – FOZI’s own foundation page on biblical Zion versus modern political categories.

  • Understanding the Fall of Babylon

    – A framework for thinking about “Babylon” as a system and how believers can come out without fear.

5. Tools for Discernment, Planning & Community Design

These are more practical “toolbox” resources for those actively discerning moves, building communities, or stewarding
regions of refuge.

  • Simple journaling tools (paper or digital) – to track dreams, confirmations, Scriptures, and
    geographic impressions.
  • Basic project management tools (paper planners, spreadsheets, or simple apps) – for mapping out
homestead builds, community needs, and regional projects.

  • Preparing Your Household

    – FOZI’s own guide to beginning preparation in faith, not fear.

  • Leadership & The Assembly

    – A starting point for thinking about servant leadership and healthy governance in Kingdom communities.

6. Future FOZI Study Guides & Original Materials (Coming Soon)

As Fields of Zion International and First Light Ministries continue to grow, this section will host:

  • Downloadable FOZI study guides
  • Maps and diagrams of corridors and regions of refuge
